Numerology/Astrology for 1/9/15

Today we are in the number 18/9. The challenge of this number is that during a “9” day you can be easily hurt and wounded by the insensitivity of others. They take things personally and have trouble letting go of old hurts. Others may see you as reactive and temperamental. If you are not aware of how this number can affect you, then you feel yourself going into deep depressions that may be difficult to get out of if you are not doing what your heart is telling you. It is also good to be careful in the money category because you may tend to overspend as your heart tends to make choices rather than your head. Ancient mathematical philosophers called nine the “finishing post” and “that which brings completion.” We say: “a cat has nine lives”; “go the whole nine yards”; “we’re on cloud nine”; and “dressed to the nines”. In Chinese the word for “gift” and “nine” are identical. So in ancient Asia gifts were given in groups of nine to be respectful and honoring. In the positive, the number nine is; psychic, intuitive, emotional, sensitive, creative, and artistic. In the negative the number nine can be depressed, reactive, and distraught. The Moon is in earthy Virgo all day, and you can be focused on getting things in order. You want to be useful and productive, and attention to details can be your route to making headway. Your mind will lean into being analytical, critical, and technical under a Virgo Moon. However, Mars is aggravating the Uranus-Pluto square today and tomorrow, and there can be quite a bit of restlessness with routine and tradition and this can stimulate upset schedules and changes of plans.

Within all life is fire. There is that spark that happens when the sperm enters the egg and life begins. Fire is the beginning of something. Fire is within everyone. It is that fire that produces our body heat. Spirit is ether and when it enters the body there is a reaction of chemicals, energy, and a transmission of light into matter. That is our inner fire. When you die your spirit leaves and the body becomes cold as there is no longer that essence within to create the spark that illuminates and animates the body. Regardless of what astrological sign you are you have within you all the elements of fire, earth, air, and water. You identify with a particular element because of the qualities that it gives you and what you wanted to experience and express with this life. It is my personal quest to touch, activate, and honor all the essential elements within my body/mind/spirit. After all, it is through integration and acceptance of your totality that you can become your fullest expression.
