Astrology/Numerology for 1/27/18

1/27/18 is the number 3. On your mark…..Get set…..Go! And you are off and running. Here we are at the weekend when you want to relax and have a moment to regroup. But Noooo! Someone decided that your get up and go needs to get moving and so the numerology and the stars point to changes, momentum, and movement. This is good but I would do my best to plan this weekend out, knowing that the unexpected is knocking at the door and ringing the bell. But laugh and have fun. Crazy chaos while it is nothing dangerous this weekend is still unexpected and can throw things that were on the table into the box on the floor. Realize that there are no clear answers just a lot of supposition happening that I am sure you will hear from others. Try to listen and not get caught in the chaos. Laugh but don’t form an opinion. There is more to come and you will not be in a place to have clarity. It is like being on a treasure hunt. There are more clues coming. Don’t get too far ahead because it may cause you more mental stress and it is really not worth it.

The Moon tends to be confused in Gemini and you might just not know what to do or what to decide. It can be stimulating to your curiosity and help you look at multiple ways of seeing things but that can also lead to uncertainty about exactly what to choose. There is a lot asking you to pay extra attention to communications and mental impressions. The Moon’s square to Neptune this morning can spur wistfulness or emotional confusion. Expect to take a detour from the middle road. Things suddenly feel more extreme. The Moon is also opposing Mars and that may make you a little bit unsure about things and while lots of conversations may be happening, they may not go anywhere. Mercury and Uranus move towards a square aspect, exact very early tomorrow, stimulating your senses, sudden flashes of insight, and fresh new ideas. But this can also make you feel a little crazy because there is so much fire and air coming out. This stimulates social energies and creates an atmosphere where you want to change things radically. Expect to see in the world over the weekend lots of things shifting around. Now what is that going to look like? Who knows. It is going to feel like the first time in a new car when you put the pedal to the metal and the car leaps into more power and overdrive. Suddenly you are cruising fast and have the energy and momentum to pass that slow car and there can be a bit of a thrill mixed with a little fear. It can feel startling and a bit unsettling. Needless to say this can create mental pressures as you know you need to pay attention and be fully present. It can be difficult organizing your thoughts or dealing with routine matters under this influence. Tasks may be left undone or interrupted. You may be jumping ahead so be careful in your communications with others. This is not the time to gain others’ complete understanding. It is not the best time for presenting your ideas but for coming up with them. New information can surface now that upsets the status quo, but can also act to stimulate your mind into new ways of thinking. The Sun and Venus form a parallel, however, and you seek harmony. This is helpful because it is always better to attract rather than pursue and to compromise rather than fight.

of silence
the kind that separates
and the kind that unites.

The Sound of Silence

Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence

“Fools,” said I, “you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said “The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence”

This is the original version from 1964 from the album “Wednesday Morning, 3 AM.” Just Simon’s guitar and the vocals. The famous version was released in 1966. After “Wednesday Morning, 3 AM” flopped, they split up. Without either their knowledge, electric guitars and drums were added and that version of The Sound of Silence became very popular, reaching #1 on the charts in America on New Years Day, 1966. Because of this, Simon and Garfunkel teamed up again and created three more studio albums, one of which won a Grammy award for album of the year and song of the year (Bridge Over Troubled Water).
