8/27/16 is the number 8. We are in preparation for the Mercury Retrograde happening on the 30^th and Mercury is appearing stationary in the sky. So while you should expect some delays and to not have things go as quickly as you want know that right now the emotions are heightened and you may be a bit nostalgic for your past and feel reflective on the choices you have made that have gotten you to this particular position. Remember there are no wrong choices there are just choices that magnify the distortion you are attached to or choices that help you unravel the pattern so you can get a handle on where you need to go next. Yes, it is feeling emotional and no there is not a simple fix. Accept that and just take it a bit at a time. The Moon is in Cancer all day where it functions especially well. This is a day where you want to get in touch with what you need to feel more nurtured and safe. Venus aligns with Jupiter today, which helps to ease recent tensions and promote cooperation, although it can also elevate expectations. This influence can promote optimism, forgiveness, and generosity. You can also be indulgent and could be tempted to overspend or overstate your feelings now. There is a tendency to be more sociable, fun-loving, and desirous of sharing your happiness with others. You have a large appetite for love and pleasure. This can be an excellent influence for beginning a new relationship or moving in the direction of a financial undertaking, or for kind gestures and efforts to renew or refresh existing ties with others. With Venus and Chiron moving to a parallel aspect, you are more open to love, closeness, commitment, and enjoying or celebrating one another’s differences.

The big question that is up with this astrology is illusion from delusion and “Sanity” from “Insanity”. It is shocking how much it is showing up in so many people. It is hard to have your feet grounded into a reality that is completely not your fantasy. It is painful to recognize the work that the fantasy will take and to own that logistically, deep inside, you will not do the steps necessary to actually have that “dream” Dreams are wonderful but you have to sort the ones that you actually came to do from the childish illusions and fantasies that are a distraction from your actually mission and purpose. One of the reasons I so believe in past lives is because of all the dreams each of us have. Often it is impossible to do all those dreams in one lifetime. You have to pick and choose which ones will give you the most energy and help you express your best self. There is always a process each of us goes through in our 20’s and 30’s where we recognize that certain illusions are just that….illusions. And you have to let them go and move forward with what life is presenting. It is always hard to let the illusions go but it is a part of growing up and becoming mature. When you live in a fantasy that your soul is not destined to create you end up miserable. Take this moment to choose. If you really want that fantasy, then do the work to get the information so you know what it will take and see if you are willing to do that. If you are, then go for the dream. If you are not or the universe puts up a lot of blocks then that illusion is not yours to do in this life. Then the only choice you have is to let it go and ask the universe to have that skill set in another life. Your intentions in this life will help to create that dream (potentially) in another place and time if it is for your highest good.
