Numerology/Astrology for 7/8/15
Today is the number 5. As Mercury leaves Gemini and moves into the homey sign of Cancer it makes sense that we need to get back into the earth and the grounded reality that makes life move smoothly. There are always more things to do. And it is important to get on those tasks and finish things up so there can be a real shift into the things that really matter. When you put things off over and over they build up to a monstrosity of things to accomplish and the sheer volume of them makes most collapse under the weight of all the responsibility. Today, it is time to get those things you have been putting off into that schedule of yours. You will feel very accomplished at the end of it all and then you will find that place that you can truly relax rather than go into the mode of avoidance exhaustion. Mercury has spent a longer time than usual in the sign of Gemini, and today enters Cancer, where it will transit until July 23rd. When Mercury is in Cancer, you want to think, speak, and take in information on a deeper, more instinctive level. You can also take things personally, as your thoughts are quite strongly colored by your emotions. The Last Quarter Moon is exact this afternoon, when the Sun in Cancer squares the Aries Moon. A Last Quarter Moon phase points to some sort of crisis of consciousness. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, you disperse your knowledge and come to a point when you need to sort out what works for you, and what doesn’t, in preparation for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again. This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of those ideas and things that were conceived at the last New Moon on June 16th. While the Moon is in pioneering, assertive Aries all day, Aries’ ruler, Mars, forms a trine with a far subtler planet, Neptune. You will tend to act on your intuition now, act on a fantasy, and bring more imagination to what you’re doing. You strive towards all that is boundless, and your creative impulses are potent. Inspiration can be found now. This transit favors dancing, swimming, photography, arts, and entertainment.

I just don’t believe that any of us want to live in our protected walls and energetic bubbles of aloneness. Now, I know that there are moments when I want to be alone but if I tell myself the truth; inside I really want to be known and explored. I want to find someone who is willing to help me tear down the walls of my painful life and wounded moments that have trapped me in layers of protection rather than authenticity. Sometimes I don’t know how to do it all myself. Sometimes I have to have help because I am so skilled at creating illusions that I can believe my own. That is the value of intimacy and someone who really loves you. And it is terrifying to share that vulnerability with another for fear of rejection when they discover that you are not perfect, that you are flawed, and that you carry deep wounds and scars that you are still working on healing and resolving. And yet, the most sacred thing you have to offer another is the truth of who you are and you’re whole being. Don’t waste another moment. Let go, surrender into the feeling that wants to open. You were designed to transform suffering into love and light. You were made to be able to overcome tremendous resistance and conflict. You can find the way, it is really easy, just follow the love in your heart and let love guide you back to the oneness of being that is your authentic self.
